kekee... Worked OT today but fortunately got a free ride from our users =p So Jan and I settled our dinner at Thomson Plaza. We had Sushi Tei and 真姐 dessert afterwards then followed by a bit of window shopping. And yeah!!! We happened to see these cutie piggy banks... so decided to get them. We bought 5 in total hahahaa coz Jan and I got 2 each - one for ourselves, the other one for BFs. kekee=p then the last one is for VAN! lalalaa...

So irony... we spent money in order to save more money? hmm anyway, I got excited over them =p and quickly turned on my webcam when I got home just to show them to DD. Followed by posting them now...

Never in my life would I thought that someone would actually scold me "不要脸" for nothing!!! I have done nothing wrong and neither did I steal her boyfriend or husband... sigh What did I do to deserve this kind of scolding ah? =(

Though I dun feel any anguish in me even till now coz I didnt do anything against my conscience but then at the point, I shed few tears upon hearing the word from that stupid woman's mouth... And this woman is none other than my DD's cousin. Strange right? This sounds like it is from a very typical scene of some dramas. And I was thinking along the drama way that perhaps she secretly likes my DD all along else why I get this kind of attention from her? kekee=p My DD told me off that I'm crazy by letting my imagination goes wild but... who knows right? =p

Well, every person has 2 sides - evil & angelic... One small part of me feels like telling the whole world what have I gone through last sunday at my DD's place. And this is happening now lalalaaa=p

Guess I have abandoned my blog more than a yr? Started missing it since long time but its a human err to procrastinate? Sighz... okok Will try not to already =)

2008 was a busy year throughout for me. Though I may not be actively involved in every "event" but I feel its already quite challenging for me able to manage one site solely in the few events. Indeed a great exposure to me, definitely learn alot along the way. Especially on the soft skills part when comes to handling the users. I think that I still do have not much confidence when speaking to them. And some of them could be quite intimidating coz after all I'm kind of in a male-dominating industry. kekee=p

Anyway, I strongly believe that so long we get the facts correct and able to communicate with them CALMLY to get our explanations/ideas across. They should not be penalised us much hahaa=p

Managed to attend the CCNA course this early this year 2009 feb as activities would be slowly ramped up. Its quite a tough 5-day course and wonder how would I ever get certification on this, sighz... Have this colleague whom he took the exams 2 or 3 times already, still haven't cleared it. SO... how many times do i need? hahaaa...

20 march 08, Thursday:

Visited the Chinese physician again. He said I have been walking too much as the blood cots bruises do not seems disappearing... in fact there are some new ones. He explained if walk too much, the "ben1 dai4" will still continue to 内出血 then the healing of the torn "ben1 dai4" would take much longer time.

21 march 08, Friday:
ZY and family are leaving for US next saturday. so we had a farewell lunch at Kallang Mushroom Pot. The turnout was pretty good... we occupied 2round tables n another small squarish one. Took few group photos at the end of the day =) Then WY gave us a lift to Marina Square where we catch a show there. kekee=p its a scary movie abit gross also...BUT definitely much 'bttr' than thai one!!!

22-23 march 08, Sat & Sun :
Been resting at home all the way either spending my time sleeping or playing games kekee=p Ohh managed to get some tasks done too...
1) Changed my phone memory stick to 2G one
2) Copied the new game to dsLite (but havent tried out)
3) Transferred to new wallet=p
4) Sent in my earings for repair but due for collection in weeks

On another 2 more days MC till friday hmm meaning next monday then report work... hahaa Nvr got one whole week of medical leave in my entire life (so far) therefore wish it will be the first n the last one due to a sprained ankle. =) Just then i collated some pics using Picasa... hmm spent quite some time on the 'clickings' sighz its is only understandable wat it means for those who played with this software before hahaa there shld b another software other than Picasa to collate pics more easily n manually=p shall do a search on net tml... hv to turn in soon coz din get any nap today =( then decide whtr to attend major's wedding dinner tml night... now headache coz of the ankle... not sure wat to wear... hmm perhaps just wear as per normal - dress plus heels... DUN CARE!!!

=( sighz... starting to feel lazy again... finished arranging the pics according to dates. guess need another hr or so to collate the pics!!! My intention for each backdated entry just consists of only the event + pics... kekeee=p no much words written hahaaa anyway my blog is just recording bits n pieces of my life journal. so entries with dates n pics are sufficient for me to recall most of the details happened on that particalar day!!! yeah yeah yeah!!!=p

Sprained Ankle

Down on luck having my ankle twisted on sat... but luckily there was a certified medic among us who attended to my injury. Then the painfulness was written all over my face... all agreed with YQ that for a moment my face turned "green"... followed by "pale white" and then back to normal. Guess in the beginning, pain was too overwhelming then next was extremely terrified to see my ankle in "a distorted manner" after removing the socks... In that state of shock, feeling nauseous with spinning head, seeing black patches ard me =( Fortunately YQ passed me the ointment to sniff to feel bttr and some cracking silly jokes to make me laugh to forget the pain for a while... Then Melvin (the medic, not sure if i spell his name correctly) also ensured me that there isnt any bone fracture, its just plain swelling which true enuff, it subsided after some ice treatment. He said after 48hrs then go see Chinese physician and meanwhile go to a western doc for medical leave... So now here i am... taking the advantange of the 3 days MC, updating the blog. hmm parents just brought me to the a medical hall at AMK to "tui" the ankle. Initially quite reluctant to go coz dun wanna experience the same degree of painfulness i had on sat again hahaa=p but no choice got papa along lor!!!

kekeee.... to my surprise, the experienced shifu said that dun need to "tui" coz its dunno what tissue tear so if he really go n "tui", it will make it worst - more swelling n takes longer time to recover too. He explained that the torn tissue will naturally rejoins n ownself heal back as time goes by... With some oral medication n plaster on it, will improve the blood circulation then blood clots will disppear soon. He also re-iterated not to move too much and go back to him if the pain still persist after few days... =p

I will b "guai guai de"... "a-za a-za a-za BAXIA"!!!

Here are 10 surefire strategies that everyone can use to discover pleasure and satisfaction in everyday moments:

1. Share positive feelings
Let your children know how great it feels to spend time with them. Tell your spouse about the compliment your boss paid you. E-mail your best friend to tell her how fondly you remember the camping trip you took last year, and include a silly picture. Sharing happy memories and experiences with others—or even simply anticipating doing so—is one of the most powerful and effective ways to prolong and magnify joy. It helps sustain emotions that would otherwise fade and affirming connections with others is "the glue that holds people together."

2. Build memories
Take mental photographs of memorable moments that you can draw on later. Recall vivid, specific events, and pinpoint what brought you joy. Do you love your red wool scarf because it's stylish and warm, or because its smell reminds you of your childhood romps in the snow? Just be careful not to overanalyze and lose the wonder of the moment. What you want, is to dissect your experiences just enough to appreciate how they've helped form you and then get back to simply living them. Interjecting mystery into happy moments—reflecting on what's surprising or hard to understand about them, for example—can strengthen their power. If you analyze special times in a way that makes them seem ordinary or predictable, then you don't necessarily get as much benefit.

3. Congratulate yourself
Take pride in a hard won accomplishment. If you spent a year sweating at the gym to reach a fitness goal, bask in your success—and share it with others. Self-congratulation doesn't come easily to everyone. A lot of people have trouble basking in an accomplishment because they feel that they shouldn't toot their own horns or rest on their laurels. It's a fine line between joyous self-congratulation and shameless self-promotion, but don't worry: You'll know if you're crossing it.

4. Fine tune your senses
Close your eyes while you roll a square of dark chocolate over your tongue or fill your lungs with salty sea air or eavesdrop on your grandchildren's play and laughter. Shutting out some sensory stimuli while concentrating on others can heighten your enjoyment of positive experiences—particularly those that are short-lived.

5. Compare downward
Comparing upward makes us feel deprived, but comparing downward can heighten enjoyment. Think about how things could be worse—or how things used to be worse. Just keep it light—you don't have to relive your cancer diagnosis or revel in a neighbor's misfortune. Simply take note: Is today sunnier than promised? Are you fitter than you were a year ago?

6. Get absorbed
Some joyful moments seem to call for conscious reflection and dissection. At other times, we savor best when we simply immerse ourselves in the present moment, without deliberate analysis or judgment. Listen to your favorite music with headphones in a dark room. Lose yourself in a novel. Set aside enough time on the weekend for your favorite hobby so you can attain a level of absorption known as the "flow" state.

7. Fake it till you make it
Putting on a happy face—even if you don't feel like it—actually induces greater happiness. So be exuberant. Don't just eat the best peach of the season—luxuriate in every lip smacking mouthful. Laugh aloud at the movies. Smile at yourself in the mirror. After all, a surefire way to kill joy is to suppress it.

8. Seize the moment
Some positive events come and go quickly—a surprise toast to your accomplishments at work, your daughter's sweet 16 party. It seems obvious that the more quickly a positive experience evaporates, the more difficult it is to savor. Yet paradoxically, Bryant has found, reminding ourselves that time is fleeting and joy transitory prompts us to seize positive moments while they last.

9. Avoid killjoy thinking
The world has enough pessimists. Short circuit negative thoughts that can only dampen enjoyment, such as self recriminations or worries about others' perceptions. When you find yourself awash in happiness, give it space to grow—don't ruminate about why you don't deserve this good thing, what could go wrong, how things could be better. Consciously make the decision to embrace joy.

10. Say thank you
Cultivate an "attitude of gratitude,". Pinpoint what you're happy about—a party invitation, a patch of shade—and acknowledge its source. It's not always necessary to outwardly express gratitude, Bryant notes, but saying "thank you" to a friend, a stranger, or the universe deepens our happiness by making us more aware of it.

After getting the good news of granny, lightened my day abit kekee=p which also gave me some 'motivations' to go shopping to get some 'inspirations' after work. Though at first thought might be going home empty-handed but... kekee NOPE!!!

Just after I got the stuff and headed home happily, I spotted MH loitering outside BYSI... hmm luckily next person I saw together with him is QT (not other woman opps=p) hahaaa... QT super 'powerful'... not sure if she is deprived of shopping. I already caught her with some clothes in her hands and ready to get some more to try. This woman just got back from a business trip this afternoon and there she was... shopping kekee=p And she is flying to Hokkaido for holiday this saturday... So envy!!! Hmm see what she will get for me from there kekee=p

Had a hard time "earning" these nice nice presents lor... kekee=p coz had a long long walk at sentosa yesterday. With typical singaporean kaisu-sim, we went to get "Songs of the Sea" tixs first before beginning our walk at Imbiah Station. hahaa =p Well basically our "intinerary"/route/programmes for that day was Beach Station -> Imbiah Station -> The Merlion -> Sky Tower -> Dragon Trail (HIKING!!!) -> Sentosa CineBlast (dun think its worth for money) -> Rasa Sentosa Resort -> Siloso Beach -> Palawan Beach -> Songs of the Sea, one of highlights =)

Made a record for eating a plate of sambal stingray for... less than 15mins?!?!? why ah... coz that auntie forgot my order lor so got to wait a while longer so got to hurry up finishing the food in order to make it for the show. Such a pity for not appreciating the sambal stingray slowly lor... personally find it nice, most imply it tasted v fresh lor n of coz SPICY too!!! can feel the lips abit tiny weeny numb after that lor hahaa=p

"Song of the Sea" is definitely alot bttr than the show we watched at the CineBlast lor... hmm mayb its just to my own likings... prefer more on the light & sound effects and the open-air concept stage. kekee=p OK here piece of advice for watching "Song of the Sea", pls take the last row seat similar concept as watching movie at cinema -> hv a wide angle view... kekee b easy on the neck =p Along the way we took alot of pics... kekeke=p Then next time if were to go again, will choose to go in evening time. Coz its cooler to take a evening stroll and also the night scenery is nicer =)

As promised to my "avid reader", maruko... told her will update on the tw trip over the past weekends... but kekee=p still feeling dead beat and wanting badly for another holiday soon!!! hahaa anyway now just wanna summarise abt my tw trip, (just to quench maruko's thrist) the details n photos come in later... kekee=p think we had ard 2.5G of pics n clips in total?!?!?! Unbelievable hor... hmm for the trip in short we just EAT n EAT n EAT... then WALK n WALK n WALK... - vicious cycle!!! hahaa not much shopping done actually. kekee=p dragged myself out of the bed tho having muscle-ache all over this morning... sneaked off to east coast before parents started nagging at me again kekee=p yup... blading!!! pretty satisfied with today's 'performance'... Would b perfect without the fall on the grass patch that is along the downslope when i was making my way out of the carpark ARGGH!!! Metup with hongchu at AMKHub for dinner after work yesterday. But just before that was with brandon they all. He said he already had a finalised itinerary and wanna hv a short discussion on the trip. I was not sure if i were attentively listening to him or just selective listening... hahaa coz wat i heard from him was just 吃吃吃 nothing but 吃!!! think this time round really gng to 吃死它 ... kekee=p nvr mind shall give in to him wahhaa as he so pitiful at work mann sighz... kanna bullied le and anyway i think i shld hv some 'allowances' for filling up the food at tw kekee=p

ok now the back to the main track le... AMKHub everywhere was so packed with pple and not to say long queues as well. So we decided on Pizza Hut which is bit further from the hub and guess wont hv to wait either. kekee=p We had a long long chat lor... think ard 3 hrs plus? hahaa=p the time we last met was like... before i started this new job? kekee=p so just updated each other here n there. Her topic was always on either PARENTING or her beloved son lor... Food was not even served and she already started missing her dear favien lor... kekee=p and also this woman ah keep worrying that she has not been doing a "good job" she really need alot of recognitions lor haha of coz i did praise her =p hmm ya... i entertained her quite alot lor... some of the blunders i made really kept her laughed non-stop... n she said the "stapler" is the most hilarious one... hahaa its ok 她高兴就好... =)

the night is still "young" after splitting ways with her... headed to jan's place to watch anime and got to know that they were having some mahjong trainings at her place conducted by brandon hahaa!!! hmm only realised how late it was when i reached jan's place so being a obedient gal, gave dad a call to inform him abt it else hard to pacify him later on =p Just finished few episodes, i "Cannot beat them then join them" (MAHJONG!!!) to my surprise, we actually played till this morning then went for breakfast before gng home!!! so steady rite? thats my first time playing mahjong till so 'early' lor... hahaa=p then best was in the evening still went for vball =p And i played every single game!!! kekee=p must train my reflexes bttr mah...After which danny suggested go Black Canyon at katong for dinner after vball... my first workout after soooo long... abt 1mth plus?!?!? hmm then realised that i've been sick for that long!!! coz of that stupid cough, dun even go jogging nowadays... sighz thus under-utilised my mobile also =(

they booked the court from 5 to 10 yesterday!! kekee initially its only up till 8 but due to overwhelming responses so extended it until 10!!! Anyway, i was not punctual, reached ard 6plus 7? coz went to meet JM catching up abit, she is forever my life-jacket can cling on to her anytime when drowning hahaha oh not to forget VAN... saviour too... will appear just in time when i need her =p ok... why i was late for vball then... coz we were stucked at this particular shop at The Central. hahaa... n of coz got smthing from that shop. was hesitating for a while as the price is quite steep lor... (to me) BUT i simply love it alot!!! n there was this devil beside me lor hahaa=p RETAIL THERAPY IS GOOD!!! but only effective for a short while only...

Yesterday attendance for vball was REALLY excellent... guess there were more than 20 or close to 30 of us? And most importantly... ALL enjoyed all the games n had alot of fun. The guys really gave their "best shots" irregardless of if there is any gal's existence at the opposite side!!! They would just whack at full strength lor... it was so scary when u see it while resting outside the court. BUT when we gals were in the games, we dun show our vulnerability at all hahaa strong strong rite? hahaha ohh n they keep reminding me be more careful not to go for every ball... coz of the last incident =p

After our showers, we gals were complaining all the bruises we have gotten from the games hahaa cat and huiling dun understand why they still got it on knees even they were wearing the guards.. ya me also dun understand it... at long long long time ago =p Then the 20+ of us quickly settled our dinner somewhere near. After which, grace n i just walked back to tpy central n took bus home. nvr nvr realise its such a long distance until last nite... n nvr nvr felt so exhausted before that i actually took bus home instead of walking... ya mentally physically 累了

last nite dunno wats wrong that i thought i had nothing on on the next day so agreed to go shopping with van n jan... hmm but soon when i was awaked an sms came in... and opps... its from JM. forgotten hving lunch with her then mayb a movie after that if there is nice one screening on threatre!!! so i quickly informed van i wont b joining until late evening. she damn poor thing lor... got to work!!! imagine u were out on streets, thinking finally can throw everything abt work aside, enjoy for the day but a stupid call comes n no choice... back at work again. really pity van... dunno need how many bottles of chicken essence n how much amt of beauty sleep to recuperate from all these damages...

hmm due to the scotching weather outside and the lazyiness in me... me n JM decided to meet on another day instead kekee=p but still me went out abt 3plus 4 to meetup jan hahaa but she stood up me unintentionally lor... she still with van... =( as i was pretty hungry then... couldnt wait any further for jan, me called up kim to ask if he hungry and wanna grab smthing together... after that we loitering ard that area to wait for jan. was looking for some dresses or "decent" tops to attend wedding dinners. i counted... i hv FIVE... this yr!!!!!!! gng to be super broke le... After which, we decided to settle our dinner at this coffeeshop just outside spans. The guys took a while to reach there as Johan's vehicle dieded so got to help to push n see could get it started up. But to no avail after 3 rounds at the carpark. He called home for help then all squeezed into JK's car to head for dinner. Lucky enough that Johan's dad called and said the van once again "alive" soon after we finished dinner hahaa... good timing rite?=p

Had a half day spent cycling on ubin island... really worth of money coz had a sumptuous seafood lunch to end the event... got prawns, fish n CRABS, etc all very fresh one lor... Anyway the challange is not the cycling part lor... its to reach changi at 830!!! Then the nite before went to jan's place to watch horror show reached home ard say 2? hahaa anway the show not scary at all then feel so 'safe' at jan's place till i fell asleep =p partly becoz i watched that show before... thanks SHAWN for choosing that korean show lor!!!

Initial plan is jan's bf gng to fetch van and me from home to tampines, to meet the rest BUT van OVERSLEPT hahaa so waited for her and we took cabby straight to changi while the sotong so poor thing reached tampines at 7am and waited alone for the rest=p

Here our "reunion dinner" at Merchant Court. Still rem our last gathering was in Feb where Priscilla's hubby also joined us.... But this time round, he was rather busy with work so couldnt make it. Early morning is the mee rebus... still abit spicy without the added chilli so hv "difficulty" finishing it (again) =p Following the whole day spent is creation of "SYMBOLS"!!! Ya, its definitely driving both van and I crazy lor... No time to relax le coz still have 30plus of them to go!!! *sob sob*... Sighz then next is in the middle of doing it, calls and msgs kept coming in... sad to say, its quite disruptive at times =( So in order to distress, went shopping after work. But guess what, after 2hrs of walking, still empy-handed!!! Argghh...then only feel the hunger when started eating at NYDC kekee=p only realised didnt have a proper meal till 8plus? hahaaa

Had my usual "Hawaiian oven-baked rice" while van ordered "Pigs can fly" and then "Tiramisu Mudpie"...=p Only after the meal van then blamed me for ordering too much =( ya guilty guilty, I suggested the dessert...=p So one more condition added to BF criteria- Able to eat alot (coz need to clear our food) hahaaa=p

While waiting for our food, we chit-chat alot... from our work to our jobs to relationships... She said she and ZW already had their fortunes told. Its quite accurate for ZW as the man said that in "Qi Yue" highly chance he would get attached and YES, he IS now... kekeee=p Then slowly we moved on to the topic of another "couple" which I think van already given up on the guy. hahaa... guy told her that there isnt any sparks to motivate him to pop out the qns to the gal... sighz sounds quite pathetic seems like the inital feelings/sparks are not strong to last, dieing out soon...

On our way to train station, we stopped by at the S.A.M.S machine as van got to settle her credit card bills...

Rushed to Esplanade after work trying to "chop" good seats... after which quickly went to pack back our dinners. During "waiting time" after dinner, we played UNO hahaa Its been a donkey years since i last played it =p...
Then just when the fireworks began, there were some inconsiderate people remained standing in front of us!!! Arggh... so throughout the display, got to kneel abit in order not to block the people behind us. And my legs became "ma bi" after the kneeling HAHAA...
Anyway it was still worthwhile being there though our viewing positions werent that good =) EYES (instead of cameras) were busy capturing the beautiful fireworks across the sky, totally mesmerized...

almost the whole day the flu and sore throat had been torturing me then worst, followed by a heavy headache!!! while hving all these, nearly at the end of the day, jan and zy were giggling after reading off some smses... felt strange so i approached them to ask wat happened, jan said nothing initially then with my persistence, she finally 'owned' up... saying they got a surprise for van!! kekee so i delightfully continued asking wats the occasion and wat do they hv for her, etc... but hor they just refused to fill in me with the details lor... just say i just 'pei he' can le... but in order to 'pei he', i must know exactly wat i need to do rite... hmm... so just wait patiently....

zy brought us to take a look at the beginner salsa class on wed after work... its somewhere near tanjong pagar mrt station hmm, i think it takes abt 15mins walk? then i landed in a 'difficult situation' as jan let me to come to a decision of taking up the class or not... her stand is so long she got company home after the dance, she will join. i can see she is quite interested, she just 'mind' the distance and the time the class starts (class start late -> end late -> home late -> TIRED) hahaa... her concerns are mine too... so i was the 'bad guy' then =p

wy n frens were playing "通宵" mj on national day till the next morning lor... then thus had tuition early morning at abt 10plus so obviously i hardly slept at all... =( after that took a CAB hurriedly to vivo to catch "SeCrEt". luckily i feel its worth it kekee=p the day before, pris already told its pretty nice and even she watched it twice still couldnt figure out some fine details... must say jay chow quite talented. hes not only musical-inclined not bad in directing too... rather impressed (but still not a die-hard fan of his... ) hahaa...

yupyup... stuck in the workshop again... finally finished the installations, left the post-config for evelyn to take over. today lunchtime went back office to rest abit but who knows i got to give up my seat lor hahaa... nvr mind in exchange of not so "prominent location" to hv ur eyes closed for a while... is worth it kekee=p

had a game of badminton after work... and ya, 16 of us (wonder if i counted correctly=p) 'participated' this healthy workout... then next was LBN's hubby along with the 2 kids kekee ^^ me stopped playing after the first (and only ONE) set hahaa coz dun really good at it and also wanted to stop contributing to the 'noise pollution' kekee=p jan van and me just couldnt b composed, get 'excited' too easily... hmm, not sure izzit that i wasted too much energy on the 'screamings', i can feel my stomach complaining in the midst of the game lor... so after that, without delay i asked jan wat we hving for dinner... ya FOOD was on my mind all the times plus the usual space-out on n off while watching the rest playing =p ohh we noticed brandon v 'strong' lor... was 'entertaining' LBN's boy by sitting down together with him, holding the racket like a table tennis bat and started hitting the shuttlecock to n fro like a pingpong ball... kekee=p quite patient hor oh ya forgot my 'calendar' again... tml must rem...

Acted like a fool on court in one of the games... hahaha slipped umpteen of times while trying to save the ball up sighz... My vball shoes just dont hv the 'grip' anymore so I simply threw away into the dustbin after putting on HL's that she lent me for the last 2 games... And proved myself that problem of letting the ball to touch the ground doesnt lies on my 'skills', but the SHOES kekeke=p

For dinner, we settled at Lavender then after that HL suggested going Marina South Pier as theres a nice cafe at the roof garden =p But by the time we reached, their last order already over... Yuppie, finally fully recovered from flu on Thursday so met up with Grace for dinner at TPY Central. kekee... and we had SUBWAY =p Had a long chat with her regarding her wedding plans... and its more or less settled except her flat. =) Oh ya, going to be her bridesmaid!!! hahaa thought the idea of having 'bridesmaid' is no longer in the 'trend' hmm... just agreed with that anyway =p
To 'make up' for the days that I was sick, went iceskating after work on friday. kekee All of us dont know how to 'stop gracefully' so most of times we were sneaking at others how they actually did it and we practised on our own kekee=p all of us had numerous of falls... except VAN!!! Shes so steady lor. As for me, I fell coz I did it intentionally to avoid the 'crashing'... hahaa need to stop in time =p Anyway after that I thought the day will just ended BUT... they were so energetic!!! Suggested KTV at Clementi... well I did join them since tuition on next day was cancelled =p

ohh all of us were rushing reports like mad on friday morning... only managed to have our lunch at abt 2plus 3 before heading to site for patch management... poor us =( So super hungry (look at the plates!!!) Argghh... even more 'angry' when they decided to try one of the jap restuarants at The Central!! Alot of people highly recommended the place for jap food!!!
